After a jam packed start to the week last night, tonight looks to be a little lighter on the competition side of things for the West Central Valley Wildcats, as there is only one sport set to have a match. The boys soccer team will have both a junior varsity and varsity game against the Spartans of Collins Maxwell.

Statistical leaders for the Spartans are freshman Wade Weave, who leads in goals, with 2 goals, 3 shots on goal, and a shooting percentage of 50%. The assists leader is senior Ephram Muntz, who has 2 assists and 7 shots on goal. And the player with the most saves is senior Tanner Scroggins, who with 119 saves and 39 goals allowed, has a save percentage of 75.3%

For the Wildcats, senior Mitchell Dickson leads in goals and assists, with 22 goals, 12 assists, and 51 shots on goal, for a shooting percentage of 20.8%. When it comes to saves, sophomore Nate Gerling has been impressive, with 47 saves and only 3 goals allowed, for a stunning save percentage of 94%.

In class 1A soccer, Nate is ranked fourth for goals against, while Dickson is ranked first in shots, second in goals, third in shots on goal, and fourth in points. As a team, the Wildcats rank in the top five in half of the stats categories. They come in second in save percentage, third in shots, fourth in goals, assists and shot on goal percentage, and fifth in points.
