The Panorama Panthers girls and boys soccer teams headed to Urbandale Monday night to take on the Des Moines Christian Lions.

The Panthers girls headed into Monday’s match looking for their third straight victory as they came out of a tournament this past Saturday with two wins and no losses but the Panthers went up against a solid Lions team and dropped the match by a score of 10-0 Monday with the mercy rule going into effect with 17:54 remaining in the match. The Panthers girls fell to an overall record of 8-4.

The Panthers boys soccer team was looking to bounce back from a tough home loss against the Underwood Eagles last Friday where they lost by a score of 7-5. The Panthers boys were taking on a tough Lions team that is second in the West Central Activities Conference standings. The Panthers boys battled throughout the night and went into halftime down by a score of 5-0 ultimately fell by a score of 6-1 and dropped to an overall record of 3-8 on the season.

The Panthers girls and boys soccer teams won’t have to wait long to get another match in as they have a girl/boy match against the Tri-Center Trojans today with the girls beginning at 5 p.m. and the boys will get started at 7 p.m. from Panorama High School.
