Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Tigers boys and girls golf teams competed in the Raccoon River Conference Meet on Monday, with the boys at Terrace Hills Golf Course at Altoona, and the girls at Lakeview Country Club in Winterset.

Both of the teams were able to finish high up in the standings, with the boys finishing 2nd with a team score of 302, and the girls finishing 3rd with a team score of 397

The boys were able to shoot a season low as a team, as they were able to get multiple players in all-conference honors. Easton Korell finishes 2nd with -1 70, Grant Jansen and Sam Hlas finished 4th and 5th with a +4 75 on the day. Boys coach Nolan Gitch was also named the Raccoon River Conference coach of the year.

The girls were able to get a great performance out of Emma Mellencamp who lead the way with a 93, Kendal Book who grabbed a 101, Monica Thomas a 101, and Cecelia Gardiner rounding out the Tigers score with a 102.

For both of the teams, they stay very busy. The boys will be playing in their sectional tomorrow at Ballard Golf and Country Club with the event to begin at 10 am. The girls will be hosting a home meet on Thursday against Panorama, with their postseason play to start next week.
