The Dallas County Hospital and Dallas County Health Department have recently identified the health improvement priorities that will now be the focus of the 2023-25 Dallas County Health Improvement Plan.

In 2021 Dallas, Warren and Polk County health leaders worked with a research group to conduct a regional community health assessment. The Dallas County Hospital and Dallas County Health Department then used that data to do a prioritization survey which helped to identify what people felt were the most important topics in Dallas County. 

The areas include access to care, mental health, nutrition, physical activity and weight, heart disease and stroke and substance abuse. These findings will be used to create the 2023-2025 Dallas County Health Improvement Plan.
