Governor Kim Reynolds recently announced grants that would help economic development and Guthrie County was a recipient. 

The downtown housing grant would provide nearly $20 million in investments toward revitalization projects in the state. The structure on 203 East Front Street in Stuart will receive $180,000 for the upper story conversion project. 

This grant program only funds for new housing opportunities in communities with populations that are under 30,000 in Iowa.
