Now that we are under one month left before the June Primary Election, there’s still time for Greene County voters to request an absentee ballot.
According to the Greene County Auditor’s office, the last day to request an absentee ballot is Monday, May 23rd at 5pm. Those eligible voters that have already submitted their absentee request form can start receiving an absentee ballot on May 18th. Additionally, in-person absentee voting will take place at the Greene County Courthouse from May 18th-June 6th at 5pm. The auditor’s office will also be open one special Saturday for in-person voting on Saturday, June 4th from 7am-3pm.
Anyone who is a registered voter must declare to vote as either a Republican or Democrat, which will determine what ballot that individual can cast their vote. If an individual wants to switch their political party, they can do so for the primary election and must wait until after June 7th to switch back. Only Republicans or Democrats will be on the ballot for the primary election.
