The Panorama Panthers girls and boys soccer teams took part in multiple matches throughout the past few days and came away with some victories.
The Panthers girls and boys took on Underwood at home on Friday for a girl/boy varsity match. Both of the Underwood teams were strong opponents for the Panthers and the girls fell by a score of 6-1 on Friday and fell to an overall record of 6-3. The Panthers boys were able to keep things close with Underwood throughout most of the match Friday but were outscored in both halves and eventually fell by a score of 7-5 and fell to 3-5 on the season.
The action continued on Saturday as both the Panthers girls and boys soccer teams headed to Creston to take part in a tournament. The boys first took on Riverside on Saturday where they fell by score of 3-2. Then The Panthers boys faced off against Creston where they struggled to find the net and lost that match by a score of 8-0 and dropped their overall record to 3-7 on season. The Panthers girls soccer team also got in on some action on Saturday when they first took on Boone where they took that match by a score of 3-2. The Panthers girls then took on Greene County where they picked up another win by a score of 8-0. The Panthers girls moved to 8-3 on the season.
While the season comes closer to a close both the Panthers girls and boys soccer teams know where they will be playing their postseason soccer. For the boys they will be in Class 1A Substate 8 and the girls soccer team will be in Class 1A Region 3 where they will be taking on Kuemper Catholic at Panorama High School beginning at 6 p.m. May 18th as both the Panthers girls and boys soccer teams are preparing for the postseason.
