The City of Perry is receiving funding through the Downtown Housing Grant program to help revitalize the downtown area.
Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds announced approximately $20 million to support downtown housing projects to 61 communities which will help create 466 new homes for Iowans. Perry received $600,000 for 13 units of upper story conversion.
The Downtown Housing Grant program is a part of Gov. Reynolds $100 million investment to help increase the supply of housing options as well as to protect and expand housing for Iowans to live in or near the communities they work in.
