The state auditor’s office recently released the audit report for Greene County.
According to State Auditor Rob Sand, Greene County saw total revenues of $15,228,232 for the fiscal year that ended on June 30, 2021. That is a decrease of 2.4-percent from the prior year, which is due primarily to less capital grants from the Iowa Department of Transportation. As for expenses, the county had a total of $15,613,735 for a 10.9-percent decrease from the prior year. The decrease is because of the county’s share of the Greene County Career Academy project that was built in the prior year.
The other findings from Sand include a lack of segregation of duties and unresolved variances in the bank reconciliations, which were also the same findings from the prior year’s audit report. Click the link below to see the full report.
