The Panorama Panthers boys golf team was able to swing their way to a third place finish at the West Central Activities Conference meet on Wednesday.
The Panthers boys golf team found the fairway on Wednesday when they took part in the WCAC Conference Meet at the Lake Panorama National Golf Course in Panora. Out of 11 teams the Panthers boys place third overall with a team score of 365 after 18 holes of golf.
The Panthers boys had two of their scoring golfers within the top ten at the meet with Evan Powell coming in fourth place with a score of 82. Brice Taylor also had a good day coming in seventh with a score of 86. The other two scorers were Skyler Poldberg at 16th shooting a 94 and Jared Wasson coming in 30th with a score of 103. The par for the course on the Lake Panorama National is 72 through 18 holes.
Panorama is looking to continue their string of good performances as on the season they have come in first place in two meets while finishing as the runner up second place in three other meets as well. The Panthers boys also know their fate for sectionals and districts as they will be at South Hamilton, Jewell for their sectional meet that will take place on May 11th beginning at 10 a.m. If the boys are able to advance they will then head to their district meet at Carroll Country Club on May 16th at 10 a.m. and it will be hosted by Keumper Catholic.
