Kuemper Catholic and Greene County met in high school girls’ soccer Thursday evening at the Kuemper Fieldhouse field with the Knights winning 3-1. The Rams scored a goal for the second time this season when freshman Chanlyn Cunningham scored after Esther Van Horn dribbled down the field, taking a shot, but missed. Cunningham followed and made the goal. The Rams fell to 0-7.
Coach Maribel Hernandez reports the Rams trailed just 1-0 at halftime, then the Knights scored two goals early in the second half.
Greene County plays Creston tomorrow in the opening round of the Creston tournament.
