Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Tigers boys and girls track and field was looking to put up a strong performance at the Raccoon River Conference meet on Thursday up at North Polk High School, and both teams were able to find some great results.

The boys were able to come away with 2nd place finish with 159 points and the girls were able to walk away with a 1st place finish with a team score of 159.5 points. Both teams were able to put together monster performances against good competition. Multiple conference winners were able to come out for both teams.

The girls were able to find winners in Makayla Crannell with a time of 12.73 seconds in the 100 meter dash, the 4×100 meter relay team continuing their good stretch off the Drake Relays, a first place time of 49.63 seconds. The 800 sprint medley team is also a first place winner with a time of 1 minute 54 seconds. Olivia Tollari leads the way for the Tigers with 26.25 points, Crannell 23.50 points, and Geneva Timmerman 21.50 points.

The boys had Brevin Doll first in the 100 meter dash a time of 11.07 seconds. Doll was also first in the 400 meter dash with a time of 51.17 seconds. Clay Gustafson is first in the 800 meter dash with a time of 2 minutes 5 seconds. Joey Hagedorn is first in the discus with a throw of 133-04, with Lucas Annable 2nd with a throw of 130-11. ADM finishes first in the 4×200 with a time of 1 minute 33 seconds. 4×800 team puts up a strong performance with a mark of 8 minutes 39 seconds. The 1600 distance medley team is first with a time of 3 minutes 49 seconds.

For the Tigers, they will now have a week of preparation, before they race in their district race in Adel, with hopes of sending teams and athletes to the state track and field meet in Des Moines. That event will be on Thursday, May 12th.
