12:24am: An officer assisted a motorist with Mechanical Problems in the 1900 Block of North Elm Street.
10:23am: Dalton Weber spoke with an officer about a Possible NCO Violation. The officer determined a violation had not occurred.
2:01pm: Nicole Miller spoke with an officer about a Civil Issue.
6:04pm: Jim Walker turned in a cell phone he had found near Olive and Washington Streets. The phone was placed in Lost & Found.
5:15am: Bob Sharp reported a subject hanging out of a vehicle parked on Rushview Drive. Officers could not locate anything in the area.
7:55pm: A Traffic Stop in the 1700 Block of North Elm Street resulted in Inider Paul Singh of Estherville being cited for, “Driving While Suspended.”
Saturday, April 30th
6:19am: Danielle Eastman reported two Stray Dogs in her yard at 207 East Perry Street. The officer located the owner, who just moved to town. The officer advised her to get the animals licensed at City Hall and issued a Verbal Warning for the Animals at Large.
7:32am: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 700 Block of South Oak Street.
11:13am: An officer performed a Funeral Escort.
3:19pm: Regency Park reported a possible Elder Abuse occurring at 100 Ram Drive. The Dept. of Appeals and Inspections will be conducting the investigation into the reported matter.
6:21pm: An officer responded to an Alarm Activation at 300 American Ave. The facility was secure.
7:11pm: A caller advised of Barking Dogs near Westwood and Grimmell Road. The officer is working to contact the owner.
7:29pm: Matt McAfee caught a Stray Dog in the 300 Block of Edgewood Ave. The officer placed the dog in the Animal Holding Facility.
11:19pm: An officer assisted a resident with turning on an Oxygen Tank in the 1300 Block of Feguson Circle.
Sunday, April May 1st
2:31am: An officer performed a Traffic Stop near Lincoln Way and Grimmell Road with a vehicle with no Plate Lights. The officer could smell the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The officer’s investigation led to the arrest of Karl Maurice Krieger, 29 of Jefferson for, “OWI 2nd Offense – Aggravated.” The officer located suspected marijuana in the vehicle, which was seized for lab testing. Charges are pending lab results.
5:36am: Bill Welder reported a Careless Driver on Hwy. 4, heading north towards Jefferson. Welder advised the vehicle was all over the road and almost entered the ditch. The officer located the vehicle near Elm and Brackett Streets and began to follow it. The driver crossed the centerline several times and the officer performed a Traffic Stop. The officer’s investigation led to the arrest of William Joseph Duff, 20 of Scranton for, “OWI 1st Offense – Serious and Careless Driving – Simple.”
9:24am: A caller advised of a Sick Raccoon in the 1500 Block of Hawthorn Lane. The officer located the sick animal and dispatched it.
5:58pm: Tami Breheny reported she opened a Scam Email on her cell phone and now it is inoperable. She was advised to contact her provider for further assistance.
7:09pm: An officer assisted deputies with a PI Accident at Elm and 250 th Street.
7:25pm: Barry Steadman reported the Theft of his loaded semi-trailer form 606 Hwy. 30 East. The 2011 Timpte Hopper Trailer was loaded with Soy Plus and valued at $35,000.00. The officer is investigating.
8:04pm: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 500 Block of East Garfield.
