Amanda Berkley, Earlham, was driving east on I80 near the 108 mile marker, when she slowed and stopped due to traffic congestion during another accident.  Nathan Andreesen did not see Ms. Berkley stop and ran into her vehicle.  Ms Berkley was taken to the hospital by Dallas County EMS to have her injuries checked.  Mr. Andreesen did not report any injuries.  Damage to Ms. Berkley’s vehicle was estimated at $6000 and damage to Mr. Andreesen’s vehicle had estimated damage of $4000. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.  Mr. Andreesen was cited for Failure To Stop In Assured Clear Distance.

April 29

Austin Ballard, age 23, 4012 64th St, Urbandale, was arrested on a warrant for Failure To Appear.

Travis Ramsey, age 37, Osceola, was arrested on a warrant for Violated Probation Terms.

April 30

Christopher Small, age 34, 8730 EP True Pkwy, West Des Moines, was arrested on a warrant for Failure To Appear.

Jevoury Wedderburn, age 30, 1135 SE Olson Dr, Waukee, was arrested on a warrant for Failure To Appear.

Paula Rychnovsky, Rippey, was driving in the 16000 block of Hwy 141, when she hit a deer.  No injuries were reported and damage was estimated at $5500.  She was able to drive away from the scene.

May 1

Rondald Martin, age 46, 3650 Cottage Grove Ave, Des Moines, was arrested for Violated Probation Terms.

Rene Vargas, Evansville, WY, was traveling east on I80 near mile marker 106, when he blew a tire and lost control of his vehicle.  One person was transported to the hospital via Dallas County EMS.  Damage was estimated at $5000 to the vehicle and damage to the cable barrier system was estimated at $3200.
