Greene C0unty High School athletics has a busy day on the calendar if the weather cooperates with golf, soccer, and track & field on the schedule.

The track & field squads are set to go to Alleman for the North Polk Coed Invitational. Coach Derek Merk for the girls and Coach Chad Morton for the boys are watching their regular seasons wind down. After tonight, the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference  meet in Story City this Thursday ends the regular season with the postseason starting with a Class 2A State Qualifying Meet in Treynor on May 12.

Greene County plays boys’ soccer in Monroe tonight vs. PCM. Coach Carl Behne’s Rams are 4-2 on the season and are looking to continue positive momentum after last Thursday’s 9-0 victory over Kuemper Catholic (Carroll).

Coach Heath Telleen’s boys’ golfers are scheduled to host St. Dodge St. Edmond today at Jefferson Community Golf Course and Coach Josh Carlson’s girls are to host ADM at The Hill west of Grand Junction. The boys play tomorrow at the Lincoln Valley Golf Course near State Center at the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference Tournament.
