The Perry Police Department will be taking part in the Drug Enforcement Agencies nationwide drug takeback day this today. 

The event will be taking place today from 10 a.m. to 2 pm. at the Perry Police Department for people to drop off any expired or unwanted prescription and over the counter medications. No inhalers or needles are to be accepted. 

The Perry Police Department participates in the program twice a year in the spring and in the fall and it helps keep those medications away from those who may misuse them and out of the landfills. Also, you do not need to remove the labels from the bottles.
