Dallas Center – Grimes track and field was able to complete day 1 with some nice success, with Kaleigh Lachacz competing in the girls shot put and Aiden Ramsey competing in the boys 3200 meter run.

Ramsey was able to put up a great result, finishing 1st with a time of 8 minutes 58 seconds, a phenomenal finish and time against some of the state’s best. It was a really nice first day for both, and both have more events coming up as well. Lachacz was able to find a solid place finishing 11th with a throw of 38-6.75, one of her best of the season.

On day 2, DCG will be well represented, starting at 9 am with Lachacz participating in the discus throw. Carter Boley will be making an appearance at 9:30 for the boys shot put. At 10 am, DCG will be having a team run in the distance medley. In the night session, the boys 4×400 meter relay team will be running at 8:56 pm.
