Thursday, April 28th
5:47am: Regency Park requested assistance from an officer at 100 Ram Drive for a resident trying to leave the facility. The resident was calmed down when the officer arrived and listening to staff.
8:40am: An officer issued a Parking Violation Notice in the 100 Block of East Wilcox Way for, “Parked Facing Wrong Direction.”
8:46am: April Hose reported a neighbor’s cats defecating in her flower beds at 305 North Chestnut Street. The officer is attempting to speak with the neighbor about the issue and have them recognized as a TNR Cat Colony, per ordinance.
9:47am: An officer was advised that the strong odor of marijuana was coming from a residence in the 400 Block of West Sunset Road. The officer spoke to the property owner, who signed a Consent to Search Form. During the search, officers located small amount of suspected marijuana and seized the item. The officer is following up on the investigation.
5:30pm: Andy Siruta reported unknown subjects have been dumping garbage on his property in the 900 Block of North Elm Street.
5:47pm: A Traffic Stop at Elm and Lincoln Way Streets resulted in Brayan Cano Rodriguez of Humboldt being cited for, “Fail to Obey Stop Sign.”
8:08pm: An officer investigated an accident at Elm and Lincoln Way Streets. A 2015 Ford Fusion was stopped at the posted stop sign at the intersection, facing north. The vehicle attempted to turn (left) westbound on Lincoln Way Street, but took the turn too wide. The vehicle struck a street sign. The vehicle was owned by Daniel Hardaway and operated by Grace Hardaway, both of Jefferson. The vehicle had a reported $2000.00 in damages. The sign suffered a reported $600.00 in damage. Hardaway was cited for, “Fail to Maintain Control.”
8:29pm: The GCMC ER reported a Jefferson resident kept calling ER to report her husband is missing. Officers spoke to the female, who’s husband passed away a while ago.
9:40pm: Officers were advised of an Unlicensed Driver near 606 Hwy. 30 East. The officers did not locate the vehicle.
