The Jefferson City Council met Tuesday night in regular session.
The Council approved the final design and bidding process with Bolton and Menk for the wastewater treatment plant improvement project for $730,000. Payment is coming from the increased sewer rates from property owners and reimbursed by a previously approved state revolving loan fund.
Additionally, the Council approved single golf course memberships for Jefferson firefighters, a sewer adjustment policy change to include a minimum of $100 a property owner must pay before applying for other sewer charges to be forgiven up to $500. They also approved engineering services with Bolton and Menk for final designs and bidding process for the front entry reconstruction project for city hall for $10,400, with payment from a previously approved bond.
Finally, the Council set May 10th as the public hearing date to sell three properties, including 206 South Maple Street and 500 North Oak Street, each for $500 to Thielen Construction; and 507 South Locust Street for $550 to Andy Rowland of Rowland Construction. Plans for each property is to build a single family home.
