Another Reawakening History by Telling Our Own Stories program will be taking place tomorrow at the Perry High School and will focus on the history of education.

Hometown Heritage at the Carnegie Library Museum will be hosting the second program in the Reawakening History By Telling Our Own Stories series beginning at 6 p.m. tomorrow. Hometown Heritage Board Member Lynsi Pasutti talks about the program.

“We have a panel set up for that with a number of educators both past and current with different perspectives. Looking back on the history of one room school houses and how education has changed just with the facilities in the community, what that looked like from a one room schoolhouse, to neighborhood schools to now full school districts. So, we will hear from the different panelists on that perspective.”

Pasutti tells Raccoon Valley Radio there will be panelists with varying years of experience with education.

“Really excited to have that panel, that perspective. So, people coming to the program will be able to hear a lot of great stories and reflect on the history of education in our community, share their own stories. So, it’s just a way to keep those stories alive.”
