Friday, April 22nd

12:21am: An officer spotted a female at 606 Hwy. 30 East, which he knew had an Order to Take into Custody to be evaluated by a medical doctor. The officer detained the subject until a deputy arrived and transported her to ER.

12:35am: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 500 Block of West Reed Street.

10:36am: An officer removed debris from the roadway in the 400 Block of North Wilson Ave.

12:23pm: An officer loaned a resident in the 600 Block of South Wilson Avenue a live trap for a problem raccoon at the residence.

12:35pm: Holly Walker reported a Careless Driver on 220th, heading east from Jefferson. The officer did not locate the reported vehicle.

4:17pm: The Greene County Medical Center reported a committal patient had walked away from 1000 West Lincoln Way Street. The officer did not locate the subject.

5:10pm: Officers attempted to catch and remove a snake from 911 West State Street, but were not successful in catching the snake.

7:49pm: Officers were called to 104 West Madison Street for a Civil Child Custody Issue.

8:33pm: A caller advised a passing vehicle on 235th Street had thrown something at her vehicle. The vehicle was heading west towards Jefferson. The officers did not locate the reported vehicle.

9:32pm: Nicole Bills reported Criminal Mischief to her vehicle, while parked at 101 Ram Drive. The officer is investigating.

Saturday, April 23rd

2:12am: An officer located an Open Gate and Open Door at 1577 235th Street.

1:38pm: A Traffic Stop in the 1800 Block of North Grimmell Road resulted in Jody Lang of Jefferson being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

1:56pm: An officer issued a Parking Violation Notice in the 500 Block of North Vine Street for, “Parked Facing Wrong Direction.”

3:11pm: A caller advised of the smell of marijuana in the area of Westwood and Lincoln Way Streets. Officers did not discover the source of the odor.

6:03pm: Kelsy Reed reported her juvenile son had walked away from 609 West Adams and she could not locate him. The officers began searching for the youth. He was later located and transported by a deputy back to custody of DHS.

8:43pm: Michelle Madsen reported a Badger near 204 North Grimmell Road.

10:02pm: A Traffic Stop in the 100 Block of Ram Drive resulted in Devin Schmit of Jefferson being cited for, “Careless Driving.”

10:28pm: A Traffic Stop near Elm and 250th Streets resulted in Macy Schneider of Jefferson being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

Sunday, April 24th

12:15am: An officer responded to a Car vs. Deer Accident near South Elm and 250th Street. The 2018 Volkswagen Jetta was owned and operated by Gordon Kambel of West Des Moines. The vehicle suffered a reported $1500.00 in damages.

2:11am: An officer located an Open Door at 1002 North Cedar Street.

10:07am: An officer issued a Parking Violation Notice in the 300 Block of East Monroe Street for, “Parking Between the Lot Line and Curb Line.”

12:59pm: A Traffic Stop in the 300 Block of East Madison Street resulted in Garret Rysavy of Jefferson being cited for, “Fail to Provide Proof of Financial Liability.”

2:05pm: A Traffic Stop at Grimmell and Central resulted in Pat Harrah of Jefferson being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

3:28pm: A Traffic Stop at Grimmell and Central resulted in Sydney Schiltz of Jefferson being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

4:24pm: A Traffic Stop in the 600 Block of North Elm Street resulted in Nicole Timmons of Grand Junction being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”
