The Perry School Foundation is asking for assistance to help replace flag poles out at Violet Hill Cemetery in Perry. 

The Perry School Foundation and a grant submitted by Linda Kaufman and Tom Lipovac on behalf of the foundation helped get $5,550 from the Bock Family Foundation for a new 30 foot telescopic flag pole to replace the one in the veteran’s section at Violet Hill Cemetery. 

In addition, the 2020 derecho damaged several small flagpoles out at the cemetery but not all of them were covered by insurance. The Perry School Foundation is asking the community or groups for help in sponsoring one of the 14 flag poles. 

A donation of $550 will buy a new 15 foot flag pole, flag and pay for the installation. Also included is a plaque to be placed at the base of the pole to recognize the donor or a person, if the flag pole is in honor of someone.
