Dallas Center – Grimes boys soccer will be playing against multiple schools in a soccer tournament today over in Cedar Rapids, as they will be looking for a quality result against top tier teams. The Mustangs come into their pair of matches with a 7-1 record, and know that churning out victories will not be easy.
They will start the day at 10 am when they take on undefeated Pleasant Valley, the defending 3A state champion in Iowa. The Mustangs then will have a game right after that at noon when they play Bettendorf. Bettendorf will come in with a 6-2 record. DCG and Pleasant Valley met last year with the Spartans winning by the score of 2-0 and for Bettendorf and DCG, this is the first meeting between the two teams in the series.
The Mustangs will be looking for a strong showing today, and will be hoping for a couple of wins.
