The Panorama Panthers girls and boys soccer teams headed to Van Meter Thursday night to take part in a girl/boys double header.

The Panthers girls went into Thursday night’s matchup with an undefeated record of 3-0 on the season coming off of a 4-0 win over Logan-Magnolia. Going into Thursday’s match  the Panthers girls hadn’t surrendered a goal and goalkeeper Lindsey Meyer had recorded 12 saves on the season.

The Panthers girls were facing off against a Bulldogs team that came into the match with an overall record of 4-1 on the backs of a high powered offense and a stingy defense. The Panthers girls battled throughout the match Thursday but ultimately fell short falling by a final score of 5-0 as the Bulldogs were able to get their offense going while the Panthers girls struggled to find the net. The Panorama girls still maintain an impressive record of 3-1 on the season.

The Panorama Panthers boys soccer team came into Thursday’s matchup coming off their first victory of the season against Logan-Magnolia where they took the game into overtime and came away with a 6-5 victory. The Panthers boys took on a Bulldogs team with an overall record of 4-5 coming into Thursday’s tilt. The Bulldogs were able to go up 10-0 with seven minutes remaining in the match which called into play the mercy rule ending the match.

The next match on the schedule for the Panorama Panthers girls and boys soccer teams will have the girls facing off against the Ballard Bombers at 5 p.m. on April 26th at home while the boys team will be headed to Carroll to take on the Kuemper Catholic Knights.
