Last year saw the approval of a Kwik Star location in Perry, and the beginning of this year has brought with it rapid construction of the new amenity. 

The Kwik Star location was approved and resides along First Avenue in Perry and will feature a car wash and convenience store. City Administrator Sven Peterson says things are coming along nicely with the construction of the building which can be seen as the building is currently taking form. 

“That project is absolutely coming along fantastic. Great group of contractors working well with not only city staff but others in the community. So, (I’m) looking forward to that opening. Obviously you can see it going up a little bit every day. I know everybody is excited to get that open. All I hear about is how great the chicken is, so (I’m) looking forward to trying that.”

The Perry City Council approved the site plan and parcel creation for a Kwik Star at their meeting on November 1st, 2021.
