The Iowa State Patrol responded to a crash that resulted in injuries in Dallas County Friday afternoon.

According to the Iowa State Patrol crash report, they responded to a crash at 2:11 p.m. Friday where a 2006 Ford Freestyle van driven by 65-year-old Julie Paetznick of Stuart was traveling westbound on Hickman Avenue in Waukee when a 2015 Jeep Renegade driven by 82-year-old Carol Neal of Waukee traveling eastbound turned northbound in front of Paetznick at SE Carefree Lane in Waukee.

Paetznick struck Neal causing serious injuries to Neal. Neal was transported to Methodist Hospital via Waukee Fire and EMS. Also, a 2020 Chevy Malibu driven by 50-year-old Jacqueline Thompson of Dallas Center was stopped at a stop sign facing southbound and was struck by the vehicle driven by Neal.
