Both the West Central Valley Wildcat track and field teams competed last night, as they hosted the West Central Valley Wildcat Relays. Last night was also the cut off for teams to put in qualifying results for the Drake Relays, and both teams for the Wildcats put up some nice results.
For the boys, Tate Richter brought home bronze in the 110m Hurdles, with a time of 16.72 seconds. The 4X200 Meter Relay team took gold with a time of 1 minute 35.21 seconds, and the 800 Meter Medley Relay team captured silver, with a time of 39.59 seconds
On the girls side, results were just as impressive, with 10 top 5 performances. Gold medal performances came in the 4X200 Meter Relay, with a time of 1 minute 53 seconds, and in the long jump, where Kinsey Alt recorded 16 feet 5.5 inches. Also placing in the long jump was Maddie Edgington, recording a 4th place finish with a jump of 14 feet 7 inches.
Silver medal performances came in the 100 Meter Dash, where Tasha Williams came in with a time of 13.37 seconds, and the 3000 Meter Run, where Chasey Rowan recorded a time of 12 minutes 11.1 seconds. Also placing in the 3000 was Gabby Esoto, who came in 5th with a time of 14 minutes 20.24 seconds.
Other 4th place finishes came from Malia Fuller, who recorded a jump of 4 feet 8 inches in the high jump, the 4X800 Meter Relay team, who recorded a time of 11 minutes 54.92 seconds, and the 4X100 Shuttle Hurdle team, who recorded a time of 1 minute 17.58 seconds. The final top five finish came from Maddie Edgington in the 100 Meter Hurdles, who placed 5th with a time of 18.38 seconds.
