Coach Heath Telleen’s Greene County High School boys’ golf team placed first among three squads on a beautiful Thursday afternoon at a triangular hosted by Southeast Valley. The event was held at the Dayton Golf & Country Club and the Rams shot 187 for nine holes with SEV at 196, and Manson-Northwest Webster 225.
Coach Telleen told Raccoon Valley Radio, “A beautiful night on the toughest course we play all year We had four guys making their varsity debuts and I am proud of them for stepping up for us with some great scores.” One of the rookie Rams was freshman Crew Conner who shot 47 and was runner-up medalist on a card back to edge sophomore Nathan Behne, also at 47. Sophomore Jack Hansen took home medalist honors at 41, and Parker Fitzpatrick’s 52 was the other score used in the Greene County team total.
