For Adel residents tomorrow will give them the opportunity to get rid of unwanted items.
The Adel Spring Clean Up day will take place beginning tomorrow and residents will need to have items which include things such as bikes, chairs, mattresses and more on the curb by 7 a.m. for pick up.
Large household appliances will require a $15 appliance sticker and TVs 24 inches or over require two stickers and projection or console TVs require three stickers that can be picked up at Adel City Hall. Latex paint must be dried out or soaked with kitty litter or sawdust.
Also, the household hazardous waste drop off will take place from 10 a.m. to noon at Kinnick-Feller Park and items accepted include pesticides, fertilizers and antifreeze and items not accepted include asbestos, explosives, fire extinguishers and latex paint among other things.
There will also be a shredder truck from Shred-it from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Kinnick-Feller Park to shred documents. This clean up is for residential only.
