A city in Guthrie County is asking residents to help them clean their downtown area.
Guthrie Center Chamber of Commerce President Shannon Neff-Muell says they are teaming up with Guthrie Center Main Street to get rid of the clutter and dirt from winter in the downtown area. Neff-Muell states this is an annual event which they ask for volunteer support from the community.
“If you want to come and help you can certainly bring a broom, bring a rag to clean benches. Yeah, we will get the downtown looking snazzy again.”
The Guthrie Center Downtown Clean-Up Day will start at 8am this Saturday and will meet at the Main Street Guthrie Center Building and the clean up will last through the day until they are done.
