The Perry City Council approved multiple voluntary annexations at their regular meeting Monday.

The Council approved a voluntary annexation for property owned by LeMar Koethe, Hope K Farms, LLC and Carl Stukenholtz for parcels of real estate that is located in Dallas County that is adjoining to the Perry city limits. The Council then approved accepting a grant from the Iowa Finance Authority in the amount of $500,000 that is a water infrastructure fund grant.

Also, the Council approved multiple items relating to the relocate runway 14/32 phase two and three and a public hearing was set for 6 p.m. May 16th. Then the Council approved an economic development grant agreement with Perry Economic Development that allows a $150,000 grant to Perry Economic Development to continue to make improvements to the Hotel Pattee and leverage additional donations and fundraising.

The Council then approved the insurance administration contracts and renewed the Blue Choice insurance plan with Wellmark Iowa Governmental Health Care Plan, group dental and vision insurance renewal with Principal Healthcare and UNUM insurance for group life term and long term disability benefits all for City of Perry employees.

Also, the Council approved an economic development loan agreement with Perry Economic Development and Perry Industries for $250,000 at zero-percent interest for 36 months for a new 30,000 foot shell building. The Council then approved the readdressing of a parcel and Mayor Andorf as an elected official and Police Chief Eric Vaughn as an alternate to the Dallas County Emergency Management Commission.

The Council then approved a master services agreement with JEO Consulting for the need of aquatic engineering and the task order scope of work for the project not to exceed $8,000 for a spa pump replacement. The Council then approved grant applications for capital expenditures and appointments for Perry City Council standing committees.

The Council then approved the final reading of an ordinance amending the code of ordinance chapter 135.10 driveway entrances, driveways and driveway extensions to create standards when it comes to driveways to include rules for materials, size and location of driveways. The Council also approved an ordinance amending the code of ordinance chapter 99 sewer services charge.
