There is plenty to get excited about when it comes to Panorama Panthers athletics as today will host a variety of events for Panthers athletes.
The Panorama Panthers girls and boys soccer teams are looking to get back out for another match today with a girl/boy varsity doubleheader against Logan Magnolia at Panorama High School. The girls game will get started at 5 p.m. with the boys slated for 7 p.m.
The Panthers girls soccer team will be looking to continue its good streak as they are undefeated at 2-0 to start the season and haven’t given up a goal yet this year. The Panthers boys soccer team will be looking to pick up their first win of the season as they have started with just one game which was a 4-1 loss to Harlan. The Panthers girls have some hot starts from Mia Waddle who already has multiple goals on the season and goalkeeping continues to be a strong suit for Lindsey Meyer as she has 10 saves on the year so far.
The Panthers boys soccer team has just one game played so far this season which was a loss to Harlan but the team has a large group of freshman in Eli Hammerstrom, Taytum Bates, Hudson Hambleton, AJ Draper, Sawyer Simmons and Noah Poldberg as they look to find their way this season.
The Panorama Panthers girls golf team is headed out to their own scenic golf course in Panora at the Lake Panorama National Golf Course with Earlham, North Polk and West Central Valley. The Panthers girls are coming out strong to start the season as they have already placed first in a meet with a team score of 225.
The Panthers girls have already had some good performances so far this season with both sophomore Filipa Bobber and senior Gabby Welberg both having a nine hole low of 49. The Panthers girls will look to get more good shots today when their meet gets started at 4 p.m. today.
Today will be a busy day and there will be plenty of things to be excited about when it comes to Panorama Panthers athletics.
