Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center spring sports continues to cancelations.

Athletic Director and Track and Field Coach Cody Matthewson says with the latest cancelation to the Greene County meet, its been a battle to find make up track and field meets.

” Yeah. As a as an ad, personally, the email chains are constantly coming in. We’re getting probably 30 to 40 emails a day of teams looking for meats and teams with open lanes and and this and that. Junior high has been just as bad as well. So, you know, you’re you’re fighting the battle right now that everybody else is fighting that Drake rewind, Drake Relays qualifying cutoff and that’s on Thursday. So you get a meet canceled and you go through and you scroll through. Spent the day to day trying to find a place to go and take our distance medley. So I would get that figured out. So one place canceled and we go somewhere else. And it’s been that way the last, I guess, three weeks almost.”

The next AC/GC meet will be Thursday at the Co-ed West Central Valley track meet in Stuart . According to the National Weather Service, the forecast shows a chance of rain with lows in the 50s.
