Greene County only schedules two home varsity track & field meets per year, and the first was weathered out in late March. Conditions for today’s Coed Ram Relays at Linduska Field in Jefferson will be far from ideal, but officials are hoping to get the meet in. It’s expected to be sunny with zero chance of precipitation, but 47 is the predicated high and northwest winds are expected to be above 20 MPH with gusts even higher.
Greene County welcomes girls and boys teams from ADM, Perry, Carroll, Kuemper Catholic, Boone, and East Sac County, plus the Fort Dodge Senior High girls and ACGC boys. High level individuals and relays will be competing, including several who have already met the Drake Relays Blue Standard for qualifying for the April 28-29-30 event. Others will be attempting to secure their spot at Iowa’s most famous track & field meet, while still others will be trying to set personal and season bests.
Starting time is 4:30 p.m.
