When the Wahl McAtee Tire & Service Center Guthrie County PM Sports Page plays tonight Panorama Panthers boys track and field coach Bruce Dahlhauser will speak at length about boys track and field and the improvements so far this season.
So far this season Mother Nature has made it difficult to get much time on the course for the Panorama Panthers boys track and field team but Coach Dahlhauser says they have already shown improvement so far this season. Multiple Panthers boys track and field athletes have already surpassed season or career best marks this year. Dahlhauser says there is already a different atmosphere this year surrounding Panthers boys track and field.
“You walk through the hallways in the school and the verbage the kids are using towards boys track is completely different than it was a year ago and I think there is definitely a higher level of excitement there. When you look at this last coed meet at Earlham a year ago we scored two team points at that meet and this year we scored 27.5. I think people are really starting to see it and it’s quite obvious that our kids are bought in and our kids are really caring about what they are doing.”
Dahlhauser says there are more opportunities for the community to come out and watch the Panthers boys locally as there will be multiple other opportunities this year to watch them compete close to home.
