Mother Nature has gotten in the way of spring athletics a few times to start off the season but Panorama soccer has been able to get a few matches in so far this year.
The Panthers girls soccer team is currently sitting with an overall record of 2-0 on the season so far with two quality wins of the Harlan Cyclones as well as the Greene County Rams. The Panthers girls beat Harlan by a score of 1-0 to start the season out with the lone goal coming from sophomore Mia Waddle. The Panthers picked up their second win most recently over Greene County by a score of 10-0. Waddle had another quality night for the Panthers with four goals on the night and Lindsey Meyer had three saves on the night as well. Laci Rishel also put up three goals in the win over the Rams. Through two games the Panthers girls have not given up a goal.
The Panthers boys have only managed to get out on the field for one match this season and it was a loss to the Harlan Cyclones by a score of 4-1. The Panthers boys soccer team has a host of new faces on the team with a host of freshman in Eli Hammerstrom, Taytum Bates, Hudson Hambleton, AJ Draper, Sawyer Simmons and Noah Poldberg as they look to find their way this season.
For both the Panorama Panthers girls and boys soccer teams they are awaiting their next action when they take on Logan-Magnolia beginning at 5 p.m. for the girls and 7 p.m. for the boys on April 19th at Panorama High School as both teams will be looking to get another win this season.
