
More precipitation is needed to pull Greene County out of a drought.
According to the US Drought Monitor, the northwest third of Greene County is still in a moderate drought, while most of the other two-thirds is abnormally dry, and the far southeastern corner is not in a drought. The northwestern corner of Guthrie County is abnormally dry, while the rest of the county and all of Dallas County is not in a drought.
According to the National Weather Service, since April 1st, Jefferson has only had 0.94 inches of precipitation.
