Governor Kim Reynolds has issued a disaster proclamation for Adair County after severe weather events on March 5th and the deadline for assistance is coming up soon. 

This proclamation allows state resources to be used to respond from the effects of severe weather in Adair County. The Iowa Individual Assistance Grant Program and the Disaster Case Management is available for residents in Adair County that have incomes that are 200 percent of the federal poverty level. Those qualifying residents can receive grants up to $5,000 for damages to their home, car, clothing, food or temporary housing expenses. Adair County was one of nine counties that received a disaster proclamation from the Governor’s Office. 

Applicants have until Tuesday to submit a claim. For more information on the following programs visit here.
