The West Central Valley School Board met Wednesday.

The Board approved certified staff negotiated agreement with the teachers union for a teachers generated base pay at $30,000, employee handbook for 2022-23, contract and extended day contract issuance and extra duty contacts. Also, the approved no adjustment to the school calendar the teachers last day will be on May 27th, High School science curriculum for $26,000 , turf maintenance to the football field for $17,100 and striping to the track for $10,350.

The Board heard an update from Midwest Partnership about projects that included the opportunity to hang student artwork in local businesses and Midwest Energy turbine learning experience for teachers.

The Board discussed creating a committee to find a solution to fix youth baseball and softball fields, shortage in district custodial services and the possibility of breaking up co-superintendent position.
