Greene County families are invited to a few community Easter egg hunts happening this Saturday.
The Churdan Public Library is hosting an Easter Egg Hunt at 10am. Kids fourth grade and younger are invited to the event where there will be different age groups looking for hidden eggs in the city park and basketball court. If there is inclement weather, the hunt will take place in the library and community room. Once the hunt is over, the kids are encouraged to go back to the library to enjoy Easter treasurers.
Grand Junction Fire and Rescue will be hosting its Easter Egg Hunt at 1pm at the former East Greene School site. There will be three age groups, including those 1-3 year olds, 4-6 and 7-9 year olds. There will also be drawings for each age group with different sizes of chocolates, along with a large stuffed animal for the grand prize drawing.
Abundant Life Ministries in Jefferson will also host an egg hunt at 1pm on Saturday. Organizers say there will be about 1,000 eggs scattered across six acres in the church yard. There will be two age groups, with those that are five and younger and 6-10.
Finally, the Rippey Public Library will have an egg hunt at 2pm Saturday. The event is sponsored by the Friends of Rippey.
All Easter egg hunts are free.
