Tuesday, April 12th
1:33am: A deputy investigated an abandoned vehicle on N Avenue near 130th Street.
1:47pm: A deputy and the Jefferson Fire Department responded to a train engine fire on I Avenue.
1:43pm: A deputy investigated an abandoned vehicle on M Avenue near 230th Street.
5:53pm: A deputy, Jefferson Fire, and Greene County Ambulance responded to J Avenue and 240th Street for a two-vehicle accident. Caden Etherton 19 of Jefferson was traveling east on 240th Street in a 2008 Dodge Avalon that was totaled in the accident. A 17-year-old male was traveling South on J Avenue and stopped at the stop sign and then failed to yield the right of way and pulled out in front Etherton. The 17-year-old was driving a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 that was also totaled in the accident. Both drivers were transported to the Greene County Medical Center with suspected injuries. The accident is still under investigation.
7:25pm: A deputy investigated a driving complaint on N Avenue near 190th Street. The driver of the vehicle Jose Acosta-Gallego 39 of Nebraska was arrested for an arrest warrant for aggravated sexual assault and battery out of Fairfax County, Virginia.
8:35pm: Jose Acosta-Gallego 39 of Nebraska was booked into the jail for an arrest warrant for aggravated sexual assault and battery out of Fairfax County, Virginia.
9:19pm: A deputy assisted the Jefferson Police Department with a combative patron in the 700 block of Wild Rose Lane. Peyton Oliver 49 of New Jersey was arrested for public intoxication, disorderly conduct, and Assault causing bodily injury.
10:23pm: Peyton Oliver 49 of New Jersey was booked into the jail for public intoxication, disorderly conduct, and Assault causing bodily injury.
Wednesday, April 13th
1:21am: A deputy removed a deer from the roadway on 257th Street and N Avenue.
In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
