Julie Doyle, Waukee, was driving on I80 at the 112 mile marker, when she pulled off the travel portion, into the median and stopped to check on a vehicle that had wrecked.  When she pulled over, her vehicle was struck Kole Hartz, Winterset, who was unable to avoid striking the vehicle.  When this occured, a semi, driven by Joshua Pooler, Kansas, struck Mr. Hartz’s vehicle, causing it to strike Ms. Doyle’s vehicle again.  No injuries were reported.  Damage to the vehicles was estimated as follows: Doyle – $12000, Hartz – $20000, Pooler semi – $3000.  Doyle’s and Hartz’s vehicles were towed from the scene.  The semi was driven from the scene.

Joseph Hulscher, Van Meter, was turning from R Ave onto 360th St, when he struck a vehicle driven by Zechariah Aeschliman, West Des Moines, that was driving westbound on 360th St.  No injuries were reported and damage was estimated to Mr. Hulscher’s vehicle at $20000. Damage to Mr. Aeschliman’s vehicle was estimated at $15000.  Mr. Hulscher was issued a citation for Fail to Yield Upon Entering Through Highway. 

Caleb Colby-Sehman, age 23, 2527 240th St, Dallas Center, was arrested for Driving While Barred. 

Benito Ramirez, age 41, 1507 8th St, Perry, was arrested on a warrant for Violated Probation Terms.
