Parents and guardians with younger kids wanting to learn and play tee ball have an opportunity in Greene County to do so this summer.

Greene County Youth Athletic Association is offering a Tee Ball Division for kids 4-6 years old. Players will learn about the fundamentals of hitting and fielding with the focus being more on instruction rather than competition. GCYAA says the primary goals include giving kids instructions of how the game is played and the value of teamwork. Additionally, coaches are allowed to be on the field to teach while a game is in progress. The kids will hit a ball off of a batting tee and they will have the opportunity to play all positions on the field.

Registration is now open until May 15th with a $30 per player fee prior to May 1st and then there is an additional $10 fee after the 1st. Practices will begin June 21st and the first game happens on June 28th. Online registration can be found below.
