The Panorama Panthers girls and boys track and field teams got to compete in their own backyard earlier this with the Kip Janvrin Invitational this week on Tuesday and came away with good results.

The Panorama Panthers girls track and field team managed to grab a sixth place team finish with a score of 57 points in a field of ten teams that featured other local squads in Greene County and AC/GC as well as Madrid, Ogden and Woodward-Granger.

The Panthers girls had a handful of top tier finishes including Jaidyn Sellers who sprinted her way to first place times in the 100, 200 and 400 meter dashes firmly in first place in all three events and two of those she was a state champion in last year with the 100 and 200 meter dashes. Other notable performances for the girls includes a fourth place finish from Payton Beckman in the 800 meter, a sixth place finish from Leah Fett in the 3000 meter and Zoey Hambleton grabbed a sixth place finish in the 100 meter hurdles. Also, in the field events Jazmyn Sellers got a first place finish in the discus throw with 101 feet 1 inch, which was 12 feet further than the second place finisher Emma Hoyle from Greene County.

The Panthers boys track and field team earned a ninth place team finish at the Kip Janvrin Invitational on Tuesday with a score of 21 points. Ryan Cogil got 12th place in a competitive 100 meter dash, Klayton Bremer finished eighth in the 200 meter dash and Panorama earned a fourth place finish in the 800 sprint medley. For field events Skyler Poldberg earned a third place finish in the high jump at 5 feet 8 inches and Cooper Andersen earned a sixth place finish in the shot put with 40 feet 11 inches.

Both the Panorama Panthers girls and boys track and field teams were scheduled to have a meet today at Van Meter but it was canceled. Also, the Panthers girls golf team had their meet out at the scenic River Valley Golf Course cancelled and they were slated to take on the ADM Tigers.
