As the spring camping is coming shortly, there will be a minor improvement for campers when they enter Lenon Mill Park this year.
Guthrie County Conservation Director Brad Halterman says most of the improvements in the county park came last year but this year there will only be minor adjustments.
“This year, the camping pads and the roads are getting a nice fresh coat of rock.”
Halterman explains that last year they did an electric grid upgrade that added new security lights,a transformer and new facilities in the shelter house. He says the target deadline to get the campsites functioning for the year is by April 15th.
