A Guthrie County business has been awarded a grant that will help them continue their youth programs. 

The Lakeside Village has announced they received a Future Ready Iowa Grant of $136,000 to continue their Summer Youth Program this year. This will allow Lakeside Village to pay their interns as they complete on the job training and acquire specialized certifications. Lakeside Village’s Summer Intern Program will have 15 students that want experience in the following areas including nursing, maintenance, culinary, activities, management and marketing. In this program interns will be compensated $5,000 for their work at the assisted living facility.
