With the seasons changing more yard waste may need to be disposed of, and the City of Adel is helping its citizens get rid of those items. 

The yard waste pickup service in Adel will begin at 7 a.m. next Tuesday and yard waste is described as organic materials and includes grass clippings, leaves, trees and tree limbs, bark, branches and flowers. Yard waste will be collected at 7 a.m. each Tuesday from April through November and must be placed in brown paper bags. 

Securely bundled brush which is no longer than four feet and less than 50 pounds may also be placed on the curb and must be secured with a biodegradable material such as twine or cotton string. This service is for Adel residents only.
