This past month, one Greene County military veteran was recognized for his efforts with an organization.

American Legion Post #11 in Jefferson honored member James Copeland for his 60 years of membership. He received two certificates, one being from the national American Legion organization and the other from the local post. The American Legion Post #11 is looking for new members and they meet the second Monday every month at 7pm at the Thomas Jefferson Gardens Education and Welcome Center.
