All unemployment rates in the Raccoon Valley Radio-listening area saw considerable reductions in February.

According to Iowa Workforce Development, Guthrie and Dallas counties each had a 0.7-percent decrease from January to February to 4.1-percent and 2.2-percent, respectively. Greene County reported a 0.5-percent decrease in unemployment from January to February to 2.6-percent. 

Iowa’s unemployment rate also had a drop of 0.2-percent from January to February to 3.5-percent. The national unemployment rate was 3.8-percent in February, a 0.2-percent decrease from the previous month.
