Families of Greene County area youngsters are encouraged to attend a free event later this month.

A Pre-Kindergarten Round Up event is taking place at Greene County Elementary School on Thursday, April 7th. There are several programs available for three and four year olds that live in the Greene County School District. Any child who turns four by September 15, 2022 qualifies for the free PK four-year-old program. Those children who turn three by September 15, 2022, there is a tuition-based PK program. Tuition assistance is available through Partnerships 4 Families. GCE also offers a Head Start program through New Opportunities, which includes a three and four year old program. 

Representatives from all of the programs, as well as elementary staff will be at the event from 5-7pm in the elementary cafeteria. Parents and guardians must bring a copy of their child’s birth certificate, social security card and immunization records to the come-and-go event.
